Our Why.
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.”
Romans 1:16
Throughout Scripture we see moments where men and women were called to face very hard circumstances. Battles that seemed impossible, hard situations where hope seemed lost, and points of desperation. They often didn’t know what the outcome would ultimately be, but they stepped out in faith trusting God would provide. Believing He would show-up even in the last moment. These individuals chose courage and obedience. They set a strong example of understanding our calling as Christians and the cost of risking everything for the sake of Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our First Responders set this same example daily. Arriving on scene to threatening calls or someone in crisis and responding by running towards it not away. Responders are a gift. Because of their career, they are a true example of what it means to be a servant like Jesus both on the job and off.
Jesus set the highest example of what it means to be a servant. Whether it was connecting in His community and building relationships with people or meeting a need, Jesus was present and noticeable, but also so humble about His position of authority. He served us to the point of giving-up His own life. He didn’t panic or worry that He couldn’t handle the issue at hand. He was present, calm, and assuring. Even on the cross He showed perfect emotional resiliency when He felt the sin of the world and at the same time said, “Father, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing” (Luke 23:34).
We are blessed to have men and women who have responded to the call to serve daily. It matters that these individuals know Jesus and receive the comfort and care to continue fighting for you and I. Only Jesus can make us whole. Without Him we are completely limited.
Our time here on Earth is short compared to the light of eternity. We are not promised tomorrow. Operation Guardian Group is passionate about the hearts, minds, and souls of these brave individuals we see every day and that they would run the race well with Jesus.
